Data Analytics Symposium Scheduled for November 4

George Mason University and IBM are bringing together analytics leaders, researchers, and practitioners to share their expertise on how Data Analytics can unlock the value of big data. 
Students will learn about topics like data mining, statistical models, predictive analytics, and data visualization; as a researcher, will share expertise with analytics experts from Mason, IBM and other colleagues; technology providers, will get an update on the analytics forefront in many diverse applications.
 
Presenters will discuss a wide range of application examples including health care, fraud, customer demographics, and transportation. Following the presentations there will be a panel discussion on the topic of Diverse Careers in Data Analytics with questions from the audience. 
 
The Symposium will be held at the Johnson Center Cinema on the Fairfax Campus of George Mason University from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. For more information and to register, see this page.
