The Volgenau School of Engineering ranked as one of the nation's top engineering graduate programs according to a recent survey by GraduatePrograms.com. Program rankings were compiled using data gathered between September 1, 2012 and April 15, 2014 and included reviews posted by more than 60,000 students participating in over 1,500 graduate programs nationwide.
Ratings were based on a 10 star system (with 1 being the worst and 10 being the best). Students rated graduate programs in the areas most important to those in graduate school: Academic Rivalry, Athletics, Campus Housing, Campus Safety, Campus Food Services, Career Support, Education Quality, Extracurricular Activities, Faculty Accessibility and Support, School Use of Technology, Social Life, Student Diversity, Surrounding City/Town, and Transportation.
VSE received high marks in the categories of Academic Competitiveness, Program Value, Campus Safety, and Location. Student comments affirmed the academic quality of the programs by describing knowledgeable faculty who focused on teaching real-world applications of student learning.
